According to psychologists, a strong sense of purpose has powerful mental and physical benefits and can even extend our life spans. But what exactly does purpose bring to our lives? What are the different varieties of purpose we can adopt? Why do some people feel a powerful new sense of purpose after recovery from trauma or life-threatening events?
