Paul Oyer is a Professor of Economics at Stanford Graduate School of Business and an avid sports fan.
Paul grew up in New Jersey, playing a lot of sports as a child and teenager. He was also a self-described 'nerdy' kid and loved math, which he went on to study at Middlebury College. Later he become fascinated by the labour market and decided to study this through the lens of economics.
In addition to his research and teaching, he is a best selling author of a number of books that aim to enable a wider public audience to see the value of applying economics to everyday life, including sports.
